解　説

解　説

respond to ...は「～に反応する」です。
criticismは「批判」です。ちなみに「非難」なら、accusationやcondemnationで表せます。criticismよりも強いニュアンスです。
use of forceは「武力行使、実力行使」です。警備当局が不法越境者に対して催涙ガスを使用したことを、このように表しています。
