The officials say the continent's ice sheet is 4.8 kilometers thick and contains 90 percent of the world's fresh water. If it melted, it would raise the sea level by some 60 meters.

ここでのfuelは「あおる、刺激する」という動詞です。concern(s)は「懸念」ですので、fuel concernsは「懸念を高める」です。ちなみに、raise concernsと言えば「懸念を抱かせる」です。
sea levelは「海面」です。

解　説

ＷＭＯ＝世界気象機関のクレア・ヌリス広報官の言葉です。
Celsiusは「摂氏」です。ちなみに「華氏」は、Fahrenheitと言います。
ここでのfigureは「数値」です。
associate with ...は「～と関連づける」という意味です。
ＷＭＯでは、このような高温が観測された背景には、暖かい風が山を越えて吹き降ろす「フェーン現象」が影響したと分析していて、当時の気象状況など全てのデータを精査するとしています。

センテンス 3

解　説

previousは「前回の」という形容詞です。
ここでのhighは「最高気温」という意味です。なお「最低気温」なら、lowで表せます。

解　説

range from A to Bは「ＡからＢに及ぶ」という表現です。

解　説

continentは「大陸」です。
